hometv and dish nepal are two brands of DTH (Direct to Home) broadcasting service that have advertised to provide services soon. There might be other players, But for now, hometv and dish Nepal seem to be in a very aggressive marketing campaign to provide the services. It will be interesting to see how Dish Nepal with backing from TBN (Kantipur, Image etc.) as well as the notorious Unity Group, will fare with the hometv group which is backed by IME, Prabhu and vetran businessmen.

Dish Nepal under Scrutiny from the MOIC
From a very reliable source at the ministry, it is heard that Dish Nepal has been issued a warrant, which is likely to create a havoc to Dish Nepal. Further information to come soon......
You have good source of information.thanks for your prior information.I was about to install dishnepal in my restaurant but seeing your blog ,I had postponed my decision.Just yesterday, MOIC has banned dishnepal for broadcasting.My friend who has dish nepal used to get just 25 channels though they are advertising 70 channels..but it has been cut off since few days back.. I am thinking of installing HoMe tv.does any body know how is the quality of home tv?
Home TV, yepi Subscribers, i have heard that home tv is operating with transponder 36MHZ, with 36 MHZ no one can provide 80+ channels, and home tv is without EPG (Electronic Programme Guide)other DTH are with EPG.
