DTH war in Nepal

hometv and dish nepal are two brands of DTH (Direct to Home) broadcasting service that have advertised to provide services soon. There might be other players, But for now, hometv and dish Nepal seem to be in a very aggressive marketing campaign to provide the services. It will be interesting to see how Dish Nepal with backing from TBN (Kantipur, Image etc.) as well as the notorious Unity Group, will fare with the hometv group which is backed by IME, Prabhu and vetran businessmen.

hometv with Kantipur, Image, NTV, and rest of the Nepali Television

hometv to be launching DTH with kantipur, image, ntv, and most of the other Nepali channels. hometv was warned by Marigold Entertainment Pvt Ltd, which is partner of Dish Media Pvt Ltd regarding some Indian sports channels, colors, MTV and VH1 channels. Marigold is trying to slow down hometv DTH buyers by claiming these channels to be exclusively theirs, however, when asked to furnish paperwork, Marigold, the promoters of Dish Media were mute.

Lets see if being the 1st DTH wins or having the content wins.

It has been heard that Dish Nepal is just cheating people with their advertisement.They have said that they will be in launch within 2 months but they haven't said where there earth station is..One newspaper had written that they even dont have earth station.The antenna which they had planned to used was of Mercantile and now it has been known that the antenna doesnt work good for DTH so dish nepal has to make their own..what the hell is Dishnepal doing with booking stuffs ?
